In Ribera d’Ebre we have a great biodiversity and biogeographical representation. Among the most notable natural areas is the Natural Reserve of Sebes and Meandre de Flix, one of the most important wetlands in Catalonia, as well as the islands of the river Ebro, which from north to south appear intermittently and develop a very environmental function. important for migratory birds and, finally, the natural spaces formed by the main mountain foothills that fit the region such as the Sierra de Llaberia, the mountains of Tivissa – Vandellòs and the Cardó mountain range.
